When the flower of your desire unveils its hidden face, Only then can you serve it like the morning breeze does, Begging at the tavern’s door is a wondrous elixir, If you perform this act, even dust can turn to gold. Step forward with resolve on the path of love, For you will reap great gains if you can endure this journey. You who never leave the house of nature, How then can you find passage into the street of spiritual wayfaring? The beloved’s beauty wears no veil nor mask, But the dust of the path reveals the way for your eyes to see, Come, for the cure of the joy in presence and order of affairs, Can only be achieved through the grace of those who see. But you desire the lips of the beloved and the cup of wine, Do not be greedy, as you may accomplish something else.
