Indeed, together, the world can be conquered. The candle wished to reveal the secrets of the silent ones. Thank God, for the secret of its heart took the form of words. From this hidden fire that burns within my chest, The sun is but a flame that has caught in the sky. The flower wished to breathe forth the color and scent of the beloved. But from the zealous breeze, it held its breath. At ease, beside you, I became like a compass’s point. Time, like a dot, enclosed my destiny within. That day, the longing for the cup of wine burned my harvest. For the fire ignited from the image of the cupbearer’s face. I wish to go to the Magians’ quarter with sleeves rolled up. From these trials that caught the skirt of the end times. Drink wine, for whoever has seen the world’s end, Rose above sorrow, lifting the heavy cup. On the flower’s leaf, written in the blood of a poppy, they said, ‘He who ripens, embraces wine as deep as crimson.’ Hafez, like water of kindness, drips from your verses. How could a spiteful eye find fault in that? 📜 Source (گنجور): https://ganjoor.net/hafez/ghazal/sh87 🕊️ Produced by Echoes Of The Soul 📅 Generated on 2025-11-14 06:32 ❓ Which line of this poem touched your heart the most?
