What now, friends of the path, after this our plan? How can we, disciples, now turn our faces toward the qiblah? For our elder’s face is turned toward the house of the wine-bearer. In the ruins of the path’s tavern, let us find our abode together. For thus it has been decreed since the eternal covenant of old. If reason knew how joy dwells bound within your tress’s sway, The wise become mad chasing after our chain’s embrace. Your beautiful face unveiled a sign of grace to us. Since then, no other interpretation exists for us but kindness and beauty. Does your heavy heart ever wrestle through a night? The fiery sigh and burning breast of our nightly vigil? May our arrow of sighs fly beyond the heavens, O silent Hafez. Have mercy on your own soul, avoid the sting of our arrow. 📜 Source (گنجور): https://ganjoor.net/hafez/ghazal/sh10 🕊️ Produced by Echoes Of The Soul 📅 Generated on 2025-11-28 06:44 ❓ Which line of this poem touched your heart the most?
