http://www.skymetweather.com/ Clouds: Today too, patches of dense monsoon clouds can be seen at east Uttar Pradesh, adjoining Bihar, sub Himalayan West Bengal, Gangetic West Bengal, Sikkim, Northeast India and at the Bay of Bengal. Rainfall: Monsoons seem to have taken a break from almost entire country as the monsoon trough has now shifted entirely towards the foothills of Himalayas and Northeast India. Mainly moderate rain with heavy in many pockets is therefore expected at Assam and Meghalaya in Northeast India. Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim is also expected to have mainly moderate with isolated heavy rain today. Kolkata may continue to receive rain, though mainly light. Continuous rain may no more add to the already serious flood situation in east India. The weather is expected to be mainly dry in east U.P and Bihar with slight chances of rain towards the afternoon. Rain has reduced in entire central India too. South India could have scattered rain due a wind discontinuity near Kerala. Temperatures--North India -- No rain and clear skies will lead to a sharp rise in the temperatures of north India. Temperatures in the plains continue to be in the range of 34 to 37 degree Celsius on an average. Churu in Rajasthan will be the hottest in India at 39 degrees. Capital city Delhi may touch 36 degrees today. East India: Temperatures will be near the normal average in east U.P and Bihar. Lucknow and Patna may touch 34 and 33 degrees respectively. Temperatures elsewhere in east India will be in the range of 31 to 34 degree Celsius. In northeast India, days will be mostly cloudy and temperatures which were maintaining in the higher thirties will now drop, as rainfall increases. Temperatures will be near normal between 29 and 31 degree Celsius. Guwahati may touch 30 degrees today. Central India: As rains reduced, temperatures started to rise in entire central India. Day temperatures in Madhya Pradesh, Vidharbha and Marathwada are currently in the range of 30 to 34 degree Celsius. Bhopal will be 32 degrees today. Gujarat on the other hand could be warm and uncomfortable. No rain has occurred here in the last few days. Temperatures will be in the range of 32 to 35 degree Celsius. In South India: Rains increase in south India but this won't bring much change in the temperatures of south India. Temperatures could be marginally above normal in most major cities of south India. After 80 mm of spot rain in Bangalore, temperatures will again start rising sharply and may touch 31 degrees today. Tamil Nadu will continue to be hottest in south India with Chennai touch 35 degrees.
