Buddy Rich Swinging"In A Mellow Tone"Chart-Ken Loomer Big Band

One of the great swinging charts that the Buddy Rich Big Band played and of course composed by Duke Ellington. This arrangement was done by the great Oliver Nelson and I opened up my Big Band concert with this song. It features one of the best trumpet players I know Tom Parmerter. Just a great soloist who puts so much feeling into this outstanding trumpet solo. The saxes had a wonderful soli that they sight read in this performance.
