Swanage Railway - 'Winter Warm Up' 28/12/2018

Blowing out the Christmas cobwebs, the cold temperatures did nothing to dampen the spirits of the Swanage Railway, running their one-day-only 'Winter Warm Up' event. The event saw two service trains operating throughout the day, with a mix of steam and diesel traction from the home-fleet providing the power, through the Purbeck Isle. A last minute change to the loco line-up saw U Class - 31806 operating vice 'Battle of Britain' Class - 34072 "257 Squadron", the latter unable to be steamed up within the time-frame before the event.
