Wide shot cemetery STORYLINE: Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat on Friday said that Palestinians would continue to withstand escalating Israeli military action. In a defiant speech at the end of Eid al-Adha prayers Arafat said he was confident that one day the Palestinian flag would fly over old Jerusalem. Friday marks the beginning of the three day feast of Eid al-Adha, one of the biggest festivals on the Muslim calender. In Jerusalem Muslims celebrated the feast, amid tight Israeli security, with early morning prayers at Temple Mount. The devotees then flocked to nearby cemeteries in order to pay their respects to their ancestors, a traditional part of the celebrations.
