09/30/60 Annual Sandlot benefit football game starts off with a parade

4000 (ROLL FILM) Tonights the night....of that Annual Sandlot Benefit Football game between those old rivals Jefferson and Fleming. (TAKE FILM) And things got started with a parade in downtown Roanoke this afternoon. The big game will be at Victory Stadium with kick-off at 8 oclock. An almost capacity crowd of 20-thousand is expected for the game. Jefferson takes the field with a win from last year fresh in the teams minds. Halftime festivities include performances by both the Fleming and Jefferson bands and bands from Lee Junior High, Jackson Junior, Woodrow Wilson and Monroe. Miss Sandlott football will be presented to illegible/ along with her attendents. So go on out for a real thriller......at Victory Stadium......8 Oclock.....to see an old rivalry setted for another year between Fleming and Jefferson.... (LIVE ON)
