Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast: The heat is on!

Here's your Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast from 3News Senior Meteorologist Matt Wintz: It's been a rather tame summer so far in terms of temperatures as the large ridge of high pressure responsible for the heat has been stationed over the southwestern United States. That ridge is about to shift east over the next few days bringing some soaring heat into the central Plains and Midwest as well as portions of the Great Lakes. We won't get a direct blow from the scorching temps, but we will be pushing the 90 degree mark Tuesday and Wednesday with temps into the 90s expected later in the week into the beginning of the weekend.
