CONFLICT ESCALATES: Russia starts shelling vital Ukraine nuclear plant

Ukraine says Russian troops have shelled Europe's largest nuclear power station in Ukraine. Authorities say the nuclear safety of the Zaporizhzhia plant is now guaranteed, after a fire broke out there due to the shelling. The plant accounts for about one quarter of Ukraine’s power generation. The International Atomic Energy Agency has urged Russian forces to stop attacking the plant, and warned of severe danger if the reactors are hit. Meanwhile, Russian forces have captured the building of the Kherson regional administration in southern Ukraine. The UN says over a million people have left Ukraine. Nawied Jabarkhyl has more from Lviv in western Ukraine.
