Despite lasting only roughly a week, the Russian invasion of Ukraine has already seen its second concrete threat of nuclear disaster. An offensive on Europe's largest nuclear power plant, Zaporizhzia, resulted in a fire breaking out. This follows a battle that had previously broken out around the now decommissioned Chernobyl plant. Ukraine being a country with 4 large plants, more instances such as these have further pushed pressure on the international community to increase their involvement and establish a no-fly zone over the country to deter further Russian actions.
