Storms heading to Northeast Ohio by Saturday Night: What's New forecast

What a warm week! However cooler air is on the way as our next system approaches this weekend. We'll be in the 70s across Northeast Ohio on Saturday, with 50s on Sunday. Ohio will be on the northern end of an extensive area for showers and storms, stretching from the Great Lakes to the Gulf Coast. The biggest threat in the Cleveland area will be some gusty winds with rain and lightning. A large pocket of cool air is likely to sink south over the Great Lakes next week, bringing our highs back down to the 50s/60s. THE FORECAST: TONIGHT: Stray shower. Upper 50s. SATURDAY: Increasing clouds with late-day storms. Low 80s. SUNDAY: Showers then clearing. Rain returns again late with falling temps. Low 60s. MONDAY: Becoming partly cloudy and warm. Upper 60s.
