PA HART - Rescue Technician Qualification Training

PA-HART rescue technicians must have skills validated and checked off by instructors as part of their annual qualifications. Recently, our UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters were configured with an external hoist, new cabin seating and attachments points. Each rescue technician demonstrated proficiency with the hoist and tether systems. In addition, they practiced static and dynamic hoists and sked connections with tag line control. Rescue technicians must continuous practice and hone skills. During this iteration, the weather changed significantly and provided real life conditions for RT’s to work in.
