Pennsylvania Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team and the Special Medical Response Team (SMRT) worked together on patient assessment, packaging and Bauman bag extrication. SMRT provided their medical report and assessment to the rescue technician. The patient (a combat manikin) secured in a Bauman bag was then connected to the hoist hook by the RT. A second RT attached and managed a tag line to mitigate spin during the hoist. Once the RT and patient were inside the Black Hawk, the crew chief lowered the cable to the second RT for hoist. These training's hone skills and prepare personnel for rescue operations. Video by: Chris A Calhoun
