Ken Loomer Big Band- Drum Solo Tribute-Love For Sale

The great arrangement of Love For Sale done by Pete Myers for the Buddy Rich Big Band. The soloist are Jim Burge on alto sax,Tom Parmerter on trumpet and Tim Eddy on tenor sax. This is my tribute to the one and only Buddy Rich.I don`t even come close to what he did on a set of drums,but at least I can keep his music alive which to me is what he would of wanted.As everyone told me,putting together a modern Big Band to play contemporary and exciting charts would be impossible.But I wouldn`t give up and with a lot of hard work and finding the right musicians who believe in this music as I do, the band is now in full swing! So the Music of Buddy,Maynard,Woody,Stan will live on in Florida where I live.I have build up my library with lots of oringinal charts,along with the great classic charts that will keep this Big Band swinging all the time.So thanks to Buddy Rich for showing me the way to great music and I hope to keep the sound of Big Band music alive for the young people to hear.
