My Nephew Jake's First Ever Pike! Vlog No 9
Well today's mission was to take my young Nephew fishing for Pike he has never seen on in real life so getting him catching a Pike was the plan. The plan was a success, the young lad caught himself a 15lb Pike we had a total of 4 Pike today from 10lbs to 15lbs so it was a good day despite tough weather conditions, despite ridgemonkey pan failures and the attack of the over friendly Robins. Also we have a challenge to gear up for NI Carper and I are having a race to see who can gain 5k subs quicker so come 2020 we're having a bit of a competition the winner gets a choice bottle of whisky at the others expense. Reels I tend to stick with Shimano Reels as I trust them, I use a few different models of Shimano Reel for Pike fishing from Big Pits to Bait Runners. I get my bait oils, AFW Bleeding Leader Wire and terminal tackle from Eddie Turner https://www.eddieturner.co.uk/ Eddies Oil is simply the best there’s nothing that comes close to it in my humble opinion. He’s also a great font of knowledge and published author I have lost count of the times I’ve annoyed him for ideas on rigs and how best to fish certain locations. It’s my local shop it’s the sort of place I can go in and ask if they will order two different types of chair which they did I then picked one and bough it, not only was this not a bother to them they even matched the cheapest internet price for the chair I chose, David and the guys in FTB frequently bend over backwards to go that extra mile to help folk out.
