WHAAAAT!? This came out of absolutely nowhere. I had very little time to play today but wanted to maintain consistency and fluked tf out of this. My reaction says it all, I was so confused. I had my girl in the back cheering me on and everything lol. This has always been a bucket-list item demon of mine. I'm so happy to call this my hardest demon. So about Tartarus, I played the level back in 2021 when it was top 1 and dumped 10k attempts to get 64-100 and 31% before dropping the level. A few days ago, I randomly started playing it again, even though I didn’t really want to commit to a new hardest. I had click patterns that I learned 4 years ago that helped learning a lot, but the good runs came quick. On day one I got 46-100 coming back, which gave me a huge boost of confidence to go for Tartarus. Playing the drop ship felt like rolling the dice every time. 23-46 is so much harder than everything else its not even funny. They were never consistent from runs. 46-100 got very consistent, especially 64-100. I knew if I could get consistent at 23-46 then I could beat it, but I never thought it would be this fast. My best today was 50%, and I just locked tf in, thank god I fluked from 65 this could have been a miserable experience. I never even got 23-100 because passing 31 and 45 in the same attempt is half this levels difficulty I swear. I guess the stars aligned today GGs. 0-23: The predrop actually got consistent for me. The first jump and 3% are always impossible but the 4% ship and 8% ship got pretty consistent. The ufo was always a killer though. Cutscene memory part until the drop… 23-46: The infamous drop ship, it lives up to all the hype. Every time I play this part I feel like I’m rolling dice. Extremely awkward ship gameplay that feels different every attempt. The first part gets consistent, but 31% is so impossible. You have to swoop down and up into a fixed hitbox diagonal straightfly…wtf. 31% ended 38 of my runs, it never got consistent. But right after you get thrown into the 32 wave. This wave plays so weird and you can barely see the obstacles, idk why but this never got consistent for me. The ufo is free and the ball click is a butt clencher but you pass them most of the time. The 37 ship got very consistent for me, I had a good click pattern. Time to roll the dice again. 41-46 is so luck based I might as well try it with my eyes closed. The cube timings are so inconsistent, and then you get to play the 45 ship! The yellow orb before it gives you a different trajectory every time into another fixed hitbox straight fly! Idk how I only died 4 times here. 46-64: The swing copter is super weird and also a butt clencher. If you have a good click pattern its better but still super easy to die to. The ufo after is the same story, if you have a good click pattern its pretty free, but still pretty easy to die to. The ball and swing copter are lowk free. The 61 ship got consistent but is always nerve racking trying to stay in the middle. The wave after is also pretty free just find a click pattern. 64-100: This part always felt pretty doable. I did runs to 100 a lot passing everything past 64 that I became less nervous when I got to this part from 0. The first notable hard clicks are the 75% ball timings which got very consistent to me. I wish there was more of a visual que but you just gotta use your skill and pray. 91, 97, and 98 are all very hard clicks, that I never seemed to die to. Ever since I came back to this level I rarely died past 80%. So happy I fluked this from 0. Enjoyment: 7/10 Playtime: 4 days WTF Attempts: 12925 (2.9k new, 10k from 2021) Hardest part: 23-34 and 45 Placement on Demonlist: #62 Worst deaths: 65, 54, 50, 48x2, 45x4 (how I have no idea??)
