Tartarus by Riot and more (Extreme Demon) [CBF] | Geometry Dash

I had to cut out the Bangarang mashup for my Silent clubstep completion since that's too important of a completion to leave in a mashup for so I'm doing it with this instead. Best mashup in the game. Tartarus! As we all know, it's a pretty influential level to say the least. It's a level with deep roots and a rich history. It was also the top 1 at the time of when I had first started to actually get into the community back in 2020! Besides that though, I don't really have that much of a history or a connection with such a culturally impactful level. I spent ~4-6k to get 64% - 100% over 2 years ago just because why not, and that's about it with my history with this level. A week ago on August 29th, Hayley and I were starting a race that we had been looking forward to for several months now. We were starting Mayhem. Yeah surprise it's not Tartarus, but the thing is we swapped to Tartarus after 30 minutes of playing Mayhem because we also really wanted to race Tartarus as well and we thought to ourselves "Do we really want to be playing THIS level like we could literally be doing Tartarus instead." So we swapped. For whatever reason, I had so much motivation to just grind the absolute fuck out of this level. I played like 5 hours a day every day (except for 1 of them that I didn't play at all), and with the help of Tartarus school lessons from Riley and extraordinary luck, I managed to fly through this level in 5 days. The level itself is pretty good, but is overall dragged down from how horrendous the pre-drop is. The first 2 ships in the pre-drop don't look that bad, but trying to actually get consistent at them is not possible. They play like garbage and block you from ever exiting the pre-drop. Besides that, there's nothing really wrong with the level except for 31% and 71%. 31% is infamously fucking impossible and that's really about it. It doesn't play bad, it's just excruciatingly difficult to get a good setup for it and actually capitalize on it. 71% is pure garbage due to the fact that slopes are what realign you into the straight fly, not actual blocks. Trying to realign yourself in the ship after hitting the slope is miserable and is so incredibly awkward, so I opted to just completely fly over the slopes and straight fly through everything. This made it much more bearable, but it was still very chokeable. And that's really all I have to say about the level. Nothing else stands out as extraordinarily garbage for me to comment on. Difficulty opinion time! Uhh ok this shit is like harder than UNKNOWN and arcturus except that doesn't really matter since they all get packed by The Golden anyways. I really don't have any passion to talk about the difficulty of this since all that really matters is that it's easier than The Golden. Attempts: 12,670 new (but anywhere between ~4-6k old from 2023 so the real number could be anywhere between ~16-18k) Level design: 36/100 Level gameplay: 77/100 Level enjoyment: 75/100 Hardest part: 24% - 32% Swing copter attempts: 48% x2, 49% x3, 50% x1, 52% x4, 56% x1, 61% x1, 64% x1, 75% x1, 80% x1, 86% x1 (16 total) Placement on the Demon List as of completion: #58 My placement opinion on the Demon List: ~#69
