KV Kamath Committee likely to submit recommendations to RBI by September 4 | ET Now

All eyes are on the recommendations by the KV Kamath Committee on one-time loan restructuring. ET Now exclusively learns from sources that the committee may submit recommendations to the RBI by September 4. Additionally, the RBI may put out guidelines for banks by September 7. Sources tell ET Now that the committee has closely looked at around six sectors that have been largely impacted by the COVID-19 induced lockdown. These sectors may include steel, auto and real estate. While sectors with legacy issues and ones which may take longer than two years to revive may not be included in the recommendations.
