Welcome to Father James Shamaun Production for today’s Urdu & Hindi Catholic Mass Readings for Thursday, 09 July 2026 – Fourteenth Week in Ordinary Time. First Reading: Hosea 11:1–4, 8e–9 Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 80:2ac, 3b, 15–16 Holy Gospel: Matthew 10:7–15 In today’s First Reading from the Book of Hosea, we hear one of the most beautiful expressions of God's fatherly love. The Lord recalls how He lovingly cared for Israel from childhood, teaching His people to walk, leading them with cords of kindness, and embracing them with compassion. Although Israel repeatedly turned away from Him, God's mercy triumphs over His anger. He declares, "My heart is overwhelmed, my compassion grows warm and tender." This reading reveals that God's love is constant, forgiving, and far greater than our failures. He never stops calling His children back to Himself. In the Responsorial Psalm, we pray for God to look upon His people once again and restore them. The psalmist confidently asks the Lord, the Shepherd of Israel, to let His face shine upon us so that we may be saved. Even in moments of weakness and suffering, we are reminded that God's presence brings hope, strength, and renewal. When we seek Him with sincere hearts, He never abandons us. In today’s Holy Gospel, Jesus sends out the Twelve Apostles to proclaim the Good News, announcing that "The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand." He gives them authority to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out demons. At the same time, He teaches them to depend completely on God's providence rather than material possessions. Their mission is to freely share the gifts they have received, bringing peace, healing, and hope wherever they go. Through this Gospel, Christ reminds every believer that we too are called to be His missionaries by sharing His love through our words, actions, and daily witness. Today's readings remind us that God is a loving Father whose mercy never fails. He continually invites us to return to Him with trusting hearts and then sends us into the world to become instruments of His compassion and peace. As disciples of Jesus, may we rely completely on His grace, generously serve others, and joyfully proclaim the Good News through lives of faith, humility, and love. May the Lord Jesus bless you and your family with His unfailing love, abundant mercy, good health, unwavering faith, and the courage to proclaim His Kingdom every day.
