Welcome to Father James Shamaun Production for today’s Urdu Catholic Mass Readings for Thursday, 30 July 2026 – Seventeenth Week in Ordinary Time. 🙏📖🕊️ 📖 Today’s Readings: 📜 First Reading: Jeremiah 18:1–6 🎶 Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 146:1b–2, 3–4, 5–6ab ✝️ Holy Gospel: Matthew 13:47–53 🌿 Reflection: In today’s First Reading, the prophet Jeremiah is sent by the Lord to the potter’s house, where he witnesses a potter reshaping a vessel that had become spoiled. Through this powerful image, God teaches that He is the Divine Potter, and we are the clay in His hands. Just as the potter patiently reforms the vessel, God lovingly shapes our lives according to His perfect will. No matter how broken or imperfect we may become through sin, the Lord never abandons us. Instead, He patiently molds us into new creations whenever we surrender ourselves to His mercy. This reading invites us to trust completely in God's loving plan and allow Him to transform our hearts. In today’s Responsorial Psalm, we praise the Lord who remains faithful forever and place our hope in Him alone. The psalm reminds us not to rely on earthly rulers or human strength, for they are temporary and cannot save us. Instead, blessed are those whose help is the Lord, the Creator of heaven and earth, who keeps His promises forever. God cares for the poor, protects the oppressed, and remains faithful to all generations. He alone is our constant source of hope, strength, and security. In today’s Holy Gospel, Jesus compares the Kingdom of Heaven to a large fishing net cast into the sea, gathering fish of every kind. When the net is full, the good fish are kept while the bad are thrown away. Jesus explains that this represents the final judgment, when the angels will separate the righteous from the wicked. The Gospel reminds us that God patiently gives everyone the opportunity to repent and follow Him, but one day each person will be accountable for the way they have lived. Christ calls us to remain faithful, live according to His Word, and prepare our hearts each day for His eternal Kingdom. As we reflect on today’s readings, may we willingly place our lives in the hands of the Divine Potter, trusting Him to shape us according to His holy will. Let us place our hope entirely in the Lord, remain faithful to His commandments, and strive each day to live as true disciples of Christ, so that we may one day rejoice among the righteous in His everlasting Kingdom. 🙏 May the Lord Jesus bless you and your family with His abundant grace, steadfast faith, wisdom, peace, good health, and the courage to remain faithful to Him in every circumstance.
