The Prerequisite of Being Used by God Tuesday 31st March 2026 Judges 2:10 When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the LORD nor the work which He had done for Israel. God is a God of generations. He does not intend for what He begins in one generation to die there; it continues to the next. That is why He reveals Himself as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel. Yet Scripture shows us a tragedy: a generation arose that did not know God nor His power. This means that there was a gap; one generation failed to reveal God to the next, and because of that, they fell into backsliding and bondage—even while living in the promised land. This is still true today. Many remember God in good times but drift in difficult seasons. We go back and forth. The Bible calls such people unfaithful—people who have not ordered their hearts aright (Psalms 78:8). I pray that the Lord will help us break that cycle. God delights in helping us, and one thing is certain—He will always raise a man, a woman, or a people to bring revival. But before revival comes, there must be an encounter with God. Exodus 3 Moses knew about the God of Abraham and the God of his fathers, yet he had not truly encountered Him. That's why when he prematurely stepped into his calling, trying to accomplish a divine assignment with his own strength, it cost him everything. He then fled into the wilderness for forty years, yet the burden remained. Later, in his encounter, God had to strip him of his confidence in education, power, position, and eloquence. Moses was mighty in word and deed, but God does not bring deliverance by human strength but by His Spirit. The delay came because of resistance and lack of yieldedness, which not only affected Moses but the entire nation. Your obedience is not just about you; it affects the deliverance, healing, and salvation of others. God is still looking for a man and a woman, but before He sends you out, He must shape you and train you. God is calling us to return, yield, and be with Him. Jesus called His disciples to Himself, that they might be with Him before He sent them out. Let us cry out: “Lord, reveal Yourself to us again.” That we may encounter Him so that we may be transformed into vessels, instruments in His hands, able to bring deliverance, revival, and freedom to our families, our generation, and our nation. Romans 12:1–2 Encounters with God require sacrifice. That's why if we truly understand what Jesus did on the cross, we cannot hold anything back. Encountering God and walking with Him means not our will but the Father's will be done. Our prayer must be: “Lord, do not let me be the reason others remain in bondage.” God is looking for vessels—men and women willing to give their time, energy, resources, and comfort for the sake of others. This is the love that raises deliverers: one that gives without expecting a reward, just as God’s love. Like Cornelius, let your life become a memorial before God; one that is willingly given unto God to be used of Him. 2 Samuel 24:24, Luke 10:30–35 A life of sacrifice is the life that brings deliverance. Pay the price for your family, your clan, and your nation. Do not live for comfort; life is fleeting and temporary. Every Christian must live with eternity in mind, allowing God to shape them into a vessel He can use. Convenience does not produce vessels fit for God’s work. Money, houses, and cars are tools—not treasures. Without an encounter with God, they become instruments of pride. But when we mature, we understand that we are passing through, and everything we have is for the Kingdom. God calls us to be vessels for His work. We are the ones He sends to bring healing, salvation, and freedom. Opportunities will come that cost us, and God uses those moments to test and shape our hearts. Like the Samaritan, we must step in to help—even strangers. Yield yourself fully.
