GOD IS ALWAYS LIMITED BY OUR PRAYERS Monday 6th October, 2025 James 5:16 The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. When you study the Scriptures, you realize that God, in all His sovereignty and power, chose to limit Himself to the prayers of the saints. Whatever we see happening in our lives, in nations, and in churches is directly linked to how much we believe God and pray. The beautiful thing is that as we seek the face of the Master, pray, and call on His Name, we are not trying, but we are sure, certain, and confident that we serve a God who answers prayers. So, we don't come double-minded, because James 1:7 clearly states that anyone who is double-minded will receive nothing from the Lord. Jesus says in John 15:7, "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you." When we allow God's Word to gain precedence over our lives through obedience to His Word, then the prayers we make will find manifestation and fulfillment. When the Bible gives us an example of true prayer that yields results, we are pointed to Elijah. He was a man like us, subjected to the same things that you and I are subjected to, yet he learned the secret of locking and unlocking heaven— on his knees in prayer (James 5:16-18). There is no failure or hopelessness in the life of a child of God who commits themselves to heartfelt prayer. No matter how difficult circumstances are, rise again and pray, because we serve a God who answers prayers. Furthermore, we have our Lord Jesus always praying and interceding for us. And the Bible says we have come to Mount Zion, to God the Judge of all, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things—better things regarding your life, family, career, and business. Therefore, child of God, there is no hopeless situation. You may appear hopeless, but you are not. Lift your eyes to Jesus and agree with Him in prayer. Prayer Father, in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, we celebrate Your Word that You have spoken to us—that Jesus is right in Your presence on our behalf. Lord, whatever the needs or challenges, we appeal to You, the advocate of our souls. We put our confidence in the blood that is speaking upon our lives. Amen.
