In this video, we show you how to make Namak Mandi Gosht. Namak means 'salt' and in this Peshawari inspired Lamb Karahi dish, there are no spices except seasoning with salt and black pepper, hence the Salted 'Namak' in the name. You will truely be blown away by how delicious the Namak Mandi Gosht (meat) tastes with just a few basic ingredients. Namak Mandi is very popular in the Pakistani region of Peshawar and it is also a famous street food recipe. The flavour of the lamb is so rich in this Peshawari Salted Karahi and is enhanced by seasoning with salt and black pepper. To make the Namak Mandi Gosht, you will need: 1 cup oil 1.5kg spring lamb 8 tomatoes 3 tbs chopped ginger 5-7 green chilies (or to taste) 2 onions sliced 3 tbs chopped garlic 1 tbs black pepper 1 tbs salt (or to taste) fresh coriander *Once the tomatoes have been crushed, cover and cook the lamb on low flame for at least 40 minutes until tender and soft.
