2015 Nissan Armada - Front and Rear Sonar System (if so equipped)

2015 Nissan Armada - Front and Rear Sonar System (if so equipped)

"The rear sonar system is a parking aide that sounds a tone to help warn the driver of obstacles within approximately five and a half feet of the rear bumper. The beep gets faster as you get closer to the obstacle and sounds a continuous tone when it is less than a foot away from the bumper. The rear sonar system automatically turns on when the shift lever is placed in Reverse and the ignition switch is ON. There may be instances when you want to turn the sonar system OFF, for example, when backing up with a trailer. To turn the rear sonar system OFF, push the REAR SONAR switch OFF with the ignition switch ON. The OFF indicator light illuminates. Push the switch a second time to turn the system back ON again. The system also resets each time the ignition switch is turned OFF and then back ON. The system may not detect objects at speeds above 3 miles per hour. Your vehicle may also be equipped with a front sonar system. It operates in the same manner as the rear sonar system, but only emits beeps when it detects an object within three feet of the front bumper. Push this switch to turn both systems OFF, and the OFF indicator light will illuminate. Push the switch a second time to reactivate the sonar systems. Both sonar systems will automatically reset the next time the ignition is turned ON. To assure maximum accuracy of both systems, please keep the sonar sensors located on the front and rear bumpers free from snow, ice and dirt. Please see your Owner’s Manual for important safety information, system limitations and additional operating information. "
