2014 Nissan NV Passenger Van - Rear Sonar System (if so equipped)
"The rear sonar system will beep when you are backing up to help alert you to objects within 5.9 feet of the rear bumper. The beep gets faster as you get closer to the obstacle and sounds a continuous tone when it is within 10 inches of the bumper. There may be instances when you want to turn the sonar system OFF, for example when backing a trailer. To turn the system OFF, the vehicle must be ON and the shift lever must be in REVERSE. Now, push the Rear Sonar System OFF switch and the OFF indicator will illuminate. Push again to reactivate the rear sonar. The system will automatically reactivate when the ignition is turned ON and the shift lever is placed in the REVERSE position.
