The front and rear sonar system helps detect obstacles at the front and rear corners of the vehicle. The system is activated when the ignition is in the ON position and the shift lever is moved to either the REVERSE or DRIVE position. The system automatically deactivates at speeds above six miles per hour and reactivates when the speed drops below six miles per hour. When an object is detected, the green indicator blinks and the tone sounds intermittently. The indicator turns yellow and the tone rate increases when the vehicle moves closer to an object. As the vehicle gets very close to the object, the indicator turns red and the tone sounds continuously. To enable or disable the sonar system: ● Press the square button until “Settings” displays in the vehicle information display ● Press ENTER. ● Use the arrow button to select “Driving Assistance”. ● Press ENTER. ● Use the arrow button to select “Parking Aids”. ● Press ENTER. ● Select “Sensor” and press the ENTER button to toggle the system on or off. Please see your Owner’s Manual for important safety information, system limitations and additional operating information.
