Classic TV Theme: The Tall Man (Upgraded)

The Western craze had already peaked when this 1960 series debuted on NBC. It told the story of Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, as they might have lived in an alternate reality. Here they were buddies, working together most of the time to clean up the Old West until the show ended after two seasons. The music is by Esquivel, who would go on to be a pioneer in the peculiar field of 'space-age pop' music; see here for more info on that - https://www.spaceagepop.com/esquivel.htm. But his most familiar composition is the fanfare he co-wrote for the Revue logo, later converted to Universal, that tagged the ends of countless tv shows.
