"Irithyll of the Boreal Valley, Area 1 (Part 3 of 3): Pontiff Sulyvahn Boss [Journey 2: NG+1]"—Located inside Irithyll's large cathedral, Pontiff Sulyvahn is an agile hard-hitting boss with fast-paced melee and elemental attacks (both short and long ranges) with magic-and-fire-imbued duel swords, and also summons a spirit "clone" to assist once his health starts to dwindle. This gamechive contains a partnership with NPCs Londor Pale Shade* (gives "Duel Bow" gesture* if 1st time summon) and Black Hand Gotthard* (gives "By My Sword" gesture* if 1st time summon). A player must be "embered" in order to summon either of them. Both summon signs are located across from each other just outside the boss gate. Reference the questlines for Anri* and Lord of Hollows* (Londor Pale Shade) to determine their availability. (NPC Anri of Astora* is also available for summon for this battle. His/Her summon sign is found to the right of the other NPC summon signs.)
