Unconscious Driver on Highway 101 in Vehicle in Drive January 11, 2016

A San Luis Obispo Police Department Officer enroute to a call advised dispatch of a vehicle off the roadway in the gorepoint area SB101 just South of the Marsh St offramp - she was unable to stop but requested CHP check on the van. CHP responded to find a lone male 56 year old occupant in the drivers seat of the 2000 Dodge Caravan unconscious, foot on the brake, vehicle still in Drive. SLOFD and San Luis Ambulance were requested to the scene and a window was broken out for access. The driver was transported to Sierra Vista Hospital - unknown cause for the loss of consciousness but it didn't appear that he collided with anything.
