Follow this remodel journey converting an uninviting Denver basement into the perfect home office. Abby S. shares her dream of turning her basement into a comfortable and inviting space to work, so she can move her work off of the dining room table. In this “before” episode, Abby introduces the project and the work that she’ll have professionals do to convert the space. Abby is a Yelp Regional Community Manager, who is working from home off her dining room table. The house’s full basement could be a great office space, but it’s dingy and uninviting. The walls are textured and painted an off-white color. The light fixture is functioning, but outdated. And the room could use new flooring to warm it up. With improvements to these features, Abby hopes to create a new WFH space that inspires productivity. On Yelp, Abby found a designer: Hill House Interiors and Design based in Austin, Texas. Working remotely, the designer gave Abby a mockup for a redesigned office space.
