Swanage Railway - Winter Warm Up - 28/12/17

Our final outing of 2017 would take us to the Purbeck Line, and the Swanage Railway's 'Winter Warm Up' event of the 28th December. This is an annual event that is held between Christmas and New Year, at the end of the running season. The 2017 event would include a visitor, in the shape of the Mid Hants Railway's LMS Ivatt 2MT No. 41312, which has been on hire to the Railway since October. Also in action was LSWR T9 No. 30120, which has recently become a long term resident, as part of a joint agreement between the National Railway Museum and Swanage Railway. SR U Class No. 31806 and Class 33 No. D6515 'LT Jenny Lewis RN' would complete the lineup.
