After setting up for the Mt Corel climb, have: 4 slot armor on all 6 party plus 1 each Abyssal Bangle and Oldebeast Bracelet; 1 Survival Vest, 3 Platinum Earrings, 3 Timeworn Talismans, 3 Star Pendants, Headband, 3 Protective Boots, 5 Psychic’s Charms, 4 Camaraderie Earrings; no more than 11 Tourmaline, 22 Amethyst, 27 Mythril Ore, 16 ruby, 32 Emerald, 8 Sycamore Wood; for the remainder we need 245 Ancient Bark but no need to grind until Gongaga, 45 Beast Pelt, 60 Exquisite Beast Spine, and 210 Exquisite Beast Hides; from here there is no need for other armors, Lea Titanium, Timber, Mellow Oak, Condor Cedar, Power Wristguards, Bulletproof Vest, Bulletproof Vest Mk. II, Earrings, Magical Earrings, and Talisman of Focus. Quickly master Aerith's new Lustrous Shield ability on the way up the mountain grabbing the Ruby, MP Up, 3 Gold Dust, and Mythril Ore, then buying Ether and Phoenix Down at the top before beating the Custom Valkyrie which is weak to both lightning and wind and susceptible to pressure if hit by either element during Cool Down. Zack as a brief episode before you continue. Follow through until Yuffie takes charge with Tifa and Barret. Place her Assess or something important in weapon slot 1 and ATB Boost with the other ATB Boost on Barret, buy 2 Mega-Potion, in Folios unlock Aerith's Spellbound Blast then continue until you get and equip Yuffie's Twin Viper and master its Windstorm ability. Keep on moving ahead until you buy 2 Mega-Potion and an Oldebeast Bracelet then ahead move right and up so you can cross via grapple and get the Illusionist's Armband then go down the pole and stay right for Barret's Barrage Blaster then give him First Strike to quickly master his new Lifesaver ability as you head to the end. Pick up the Empowerment then after some grappling beat the Bomb, give Yuffie the max'd Assessed materia and beat the Gigatrice boss being sure to assess the Tornado and strike it with Fira materia. With Cloud, Aerith, and Red XIII, Give Cloud max'd Assess, First Strike, and ATB Boost, and Aerith ATB Boost. Follow through without changing the track in order to give Barret an affinity boost. Get the Safety Bit as you head to the mine cart then do your best. Once at North Corel buy 3 of each of the 4 elemental magics, in the Folios unlock Tifa's Limit Guage Stagger and Red XIII's Speed Up then buy QB Cards: Uncanny Terrors. Up the steps and to the right pick up Barret's Theme sheet music then beat Biff in Queen's Blood for the Bomb card then outside and down to the left to beat Rolf for the Cockatrice card. Across the bridge get the Elixir on the roof then drop down for the Revival materia then drop down and run back up and to the Ropeway to the Gold Saucer which starts chapter 8. Get the Healing materia.
