Ingredients : Rice - 1 cup( wash and soak it for 20 mins in two cups of water) Green peas- 1 cup Tomato-3 ( medium sized) Onion-1(medium sized) Pudina( mint leaves)-a handful Ginger , garlic Green chillies ( according to your ) Masalas for tempering-cumin seeds, cloves , cinnamon Oil-2 tbsp Make a paste of tomato , green chillies, ginger garlic, and pudina. Preparation: In a cooker add two tbsp of oil, add cumin , cloves , and cinnamon. Then add onions, add turmeric, mix well. Let onion turn soft. Add tomato paste, add Garam masala ,red chilli powder( optional), Fry the mixture till it starts to oozes oil .Then add green peas,add rice , without water , salt to taste , mix it well. Then add the water in which rice was soaked, bring it to a boil , cover the lid, one to two whistles are enough, once it cools down serve it with ,raita or chutney.
