Radio-Play Comics - Grant Morrison's Invisibles: Volume 1, Part 2 (of 2)

The Invisibles are a secret society of rebels who hide as ordinary people all over the world and throughout time, but battle the shadowy forces that would control the world and repress individuality with magic, psychic powers, guns, bombs, and martial arts. King Mob's cell has five members, Ragged Robin, Lord Fanny, Boy, and Jack Frost complete the team. Jack is replacing John A Dreams, who recently disappeared and may have even joined the enemy. He is prophesied to be the next buddha level spiritual and psychic power, but after being recruited, trained, and completing his first mission, he has run away and abandoned the team, haunted by the soldier he killed during his escape and still processing recovered memories from his time with Mad Tom and the aliens. The Invisibles have to find him before the enemy does. This second part of Volume 1 begins with the backstory of the Brazilian witch Lord Fanny, a very early example of trans representation done well. Her family had always passed the power of magic from mother to daughter, and so Hilde was raised, willingly, as a girl. Upon meeting the gods of her people and journeying through their spirit world, she learns the secrets of magic. After that, King Mob is taken and interrogated by Sir Miles and you'll see his origin story told in flashbacks, and you'll see Boy's backstory after that, as well as Dane's initiation in full as he tries to put together his old life. Then everyone has to come together and escape The House of Fun as the real enemy closes in, and Jack Frost must face an Archon one on one.
