Just a Shave: Gillette Flat-bottom Tech - Feather (22) - Stirling Barbershop - Semogue 1305

Razor: Gillette - Flat-bottom Tech (UK) Thin Bar Handle Blade: Feather (22) Lather: Stirling - Barbershop Brush: Semogue - 1305 Boar Post: Soap Commander - Integrity (Menthol-free) *General Notes / TL;DR*: Nice shave. Excellent cutting , with good comfort. Experimented to see if, by scooping out my soap instead of lathering on the surface, I could dig down to part of the soap with more scent, and maybe have the scent be more available during the shave. Didn't work that I could tell. Razor and Blade Notes - Gillette - Flat-bottom Tech (UK) Thin Bar Handle ::: Feather (22 uses): This is a nice little piece of history. It worked the Feather well, and while it wasn't as smooth as my pre-war tech, it gave an above average result in just 3 passes. No tugging or irritation. Soap Notes - Stirling - Barbershop: Wonderful performance, as usual from Stirling. 1/4+ tsp measured and whipped up with lightly-wet, boar brush + 3.5 tsp water = 5 passes of nicely slick lather. Just enough to give me some margin to screw up, just in case. Scent: I like the scent coming from the dry puck, and the lighter version coming from the lather bowl, when I stuck my nose down in it. A fairly traditional barbershop. Scent Strength: 3/10, barely present during shaving, unfortunately. Bowl - I used the XL version of this bowl: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:339... Brush Notes - Semogue - 1305 Boar: This brush, after just 6 uses, just feels so good. No brush burn from this one. Great, soft tips. Yes, I'm soaking it before each shave, while young, No prickle at all. *Shave Quality* During the Shave Feel: Cheeks: Felt blade but comfortable Neck: Felt blade but comfortable After the Shave Closeness: Cheeks: Near BBS - About as close as I'll ever get Neck: Cut flush to where I just see the tips (above average for me)
