Fatou Bensouda wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to sit full trial

ICC chief prosecutor Fatou Bensouda has filed a motion seeking leave to appeal against President Uhuru Kenyatta's absence during his trial. Trial chamber v (b) excused President Kenyatta from continuous presence at his trial to allow him to discharge his official functions as the president of Kenya. This decision followed the approach that trial chamber v (a) had taken in deputy president William Ruto's case.
