I was so sad when it turned out that my delusion about having a double boss fight situation with Eygon turned out to not be true :( Man what a relief it was to finally figure out how I can use both weapon skills. The main thing that pushed me to actually revisit the problem was a clip where somebody was using Farron's Greatsword and the little dagger that's paired with it. And I got to say: I am stoked that we got the Artorias' Greatsword but damn, I think I missed out on the coolest double handleable weapon in the game. That pair of weapons have the moveset equivalent of you being the lead role in a action movie. I like that the Lothric Castle is quite tightly guarded and you cannot just waltz your way through it. Each knight feels as an actual adversary that you cannot disregard and dispose of in a couple of swings. It also always feels way better to die to a lesser amount of enemies that are tough to deal with than to a bunch of nobodies who swarmed you. At the time of playing It felt utterly confusing by how we got rid of both guard dragons so easily, almost to easily. Also seeing how a Outrider had penetrated the castle walls so deeply, I am curious if we might encounter yet another Boreal Valley representative boss moving forward. I do not know what is the implied meaning behind the blacked out sun and pilgrims covering the skies but it sure looked imposing when I gazed upon it. First thing I thought was that it probably was meant to symbolise how the world as we know it is nearing it's last breath. Other people already have drawn the noticeable parallels with Berserk's "The Eclipse" event that happened in "The Golden Age Arc". Dragonslayer Armour boss fight was incredibly cinematic! From the crumbling railings and variety of attacks to the Pilgrim Butterfly laser beaming the whole bridge, this brawl was high octane action all the way through. I am actually glad that the eye-catching Pilgrim was not the one who the fight was centred around. Having him puppeteering such a cool opponent was a much more splendid idea. Of course I did not understand what was really going on at the time of the fight and I felt a constant pressure of doom looming overhead. In the end I am really glad that they refrained from making the Pilgrim more involved in the fight than he was. The sludge attacks or lasers creating explosions did not impede outcome of the duel in any noticeable way. And better yet it felt like those random visual effects popping up around us made the experience even more exciting. I wonder if you can shoot at the flying guy mid fight and if something happens.
