A residential area was hit in Beit Lahiya and there are unconfirmed reports of at least one being person injured. Two airstrikes in Jebaliya damaged a carpenter's workshop and Hamas executive force buildings. The airstrikes again hit targets in Gaza City near the home of Palestinian Prime Minister, Ismail Haniyeh. There are unconfirmed reports that at least three injured people have been taken to Shifa Hospital. Earlier in the day a series of strikes hit a succession of militant targets in the Gaza Strip, killing two, while Hamas fired rockets toward Israel. Friday night's airstrike came a day after a hut in the refugee camp where Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh lives was hit. Haniyeh stayed away from public prayers on Friday, even though Israel denied he was a target of the missile fired at the Shati refugee camp just before midnight Thursday. No one was hurt in that attack, which Israel said targeted an unspecified structure used by Hamas. Israel has carried out dozens of airstrikes in recent days in retaliation for stepped-up Palestinian rocket fire on southern Israeli towns. On Friday, two Hamas militants were killed, and five people were injured, after an Israeli missile hit their car, security officials said. The army confirmed that it had targeted militants belonging to a Hamas rocket production team who were on their way to carry out an attack against Israel. Palestinian militants also fired at least six rockets toward Israel, one of which landed directly on a home in the border town of Sderot, slightly injuring three people, the army said. More than 40 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli raids over the past 10 days. The rocket barrages have severely disrupted life in the area near Gaza, and thousands of frightened residents have fled.
