Two people were reported missing after the strikes. The injured were taken to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. The military said the strike was in response to a rocket launched on southern Israel by Palestinian militants earlier on Saturday. No one was injured in that attack. This week has seen a surge in violence after Israel and the Palestinian Authority relaunched peace talks after nearly two years. Four people were killed and two injured in two separate shootings by Hamas earlier this week.
