Backwards Swing, Cross Combo 👉 Jump Rope Tutorial (notes in description) #jumprope
The Backwards Swing, Cross, Swing, Open is a great combo that I teach on coaching sessions all the time, and there’s one thing you HAVE to know if you want to do this correctly: The dominant hand always goes underneath in every skill! So at the beginning of this combo, pull your hands open into that Box Swing The hand that is farthest from your body scoops underneath the arm that is across your body to get into the Cross From there, transition into the second Side Swing. The hand that is underneath in the Cross needs to stay underneath in the second Swing! This is very tricky to see (and even harder to do haha), but you have to really focus on getting this right Put in a lot less effort than you think is necessary. Use the hand that is underneath in the second Swing to pull the rope around and finish very smoothly If the top hand ends up dominant and tries to power through, you're gonna have a hard time finishing this combo easily. So make sure you really focus on keeping the bottom hand the dominant hand as you go through this combo! If you do, the whole thing is going to be a lot smoother!
