'I cannot work for Daniel Andrews': Mikakos' takes parting shot at Premier

Jenny Mikakos has resigned from her role as Victorian Health Minister, after Premier Daniel Andrews named her as the person responsible for the state’s hotel quarantine program. The Premier said he didn't ask her to resign, but described the Health Minister’s decision as “appropriate” and announced the appointment of Martin Foley as Ms Mikakos’ replacement. "I have always put everything into my ministerial responsibilities," the Health Minister said. "I have never wanted to leave a job unfinished but in light of of the Premier's statement to the Inquiry and the fact there are strong elements in it that I strongly disagree with, I believe that I cannot continue to serve in this Cabinet."
