Level 9 (2nd Quest) Complete Walkthrough Method #2 - The Legend of Zelda 2nd Quest 100% Walkthrough

This video shows how to beat Level 9 in the Second Quest as well as how to get everything in this Level. To see how to beat this Level while only getting the necessities, there is a video linked below that shows how. As with all dungeons in this game it's not a bad idea to have a potion on hand. Furthermore, if you have not already done so, I recommend that you get the Magical Sword & the Blue Ring. You can find videos showing the locations to these upgrades as well as the locations of all Magical Shield, Bomb, & Potion Shops linked down below. In this particular video I show how to complete Level 9 while getting the Red Ring first. The Red Ring increases Links defense & so can make the rest of the Level a bit easier. Unfortunately the Red Ring is found just before fighting Gannon which means quite a bit of backtracking through the Level once you finish doing everything else. In the end it's not really THAT big of a deal, but I thought I'd warn you anyway. If you feel confident in your ability to get throught most of the Level without the aid of the Red Ring then you're more than welcome to try the faster, Silver Arrow first, method linked down below. In order to get passed the 2nd room in Level 9 you'll have to have all of the Triforce Pieces obtained from beating the first 8 Levels. Additionally, I have the Magical Key from Level 8 so it would be a good idea to get that if you haven't already (see video linked below). Important things in this Level: Compass (2:59): Go to the room with several Zol & the black background. Kill all of the Zol to get the Compass. Red Ring (4:40): In the top left area of the map, go left from the Patra into a room with 2 Lanmola. Kill the Lanmola then push the left block to get down to the Red Ring. The Red Ring cuts the amount of damage green tunic Link takes down to 1/4 (or half of what Link takes with the Blue Ring). Mini-Boss - Patra (5:12): You must kill the little Patras before going after the center one. I honestly don't have much advice for fighting these guys. You just kinda have to go at it while trying not to get hit too much. Mini-Boss - Patra #2 (5:42): Same thing. For this one it's best to start off going down in the corner. You'll usually avoid this Patra's expanding attack while also defending yourself against any of the energy balls that get shot at you. Map (6:34): From the starting screen go up 2 screens, right 2 screens, & up 1 screen. Kill the Patra to get the Map. Silver Arrow (7:14): From the Map room go left 1 screen. Kill all of the Wizzrobes then push the block to reveal the stairs leading to the Silver Arrow. Just like in the First Quest the Silver Arrow is the only thing that can kill Gannon. Mini-Boss - Patra #4 (9:30): Same thing. Boss - Gannon (12:25): The strategy is the same as in the First Quest. He teleports around the room while shooting energy balls at you. I recommend going in 1 of the corners & spamming the sword button. He'll eventually teleport close enough for you to hit him. After you strike him 4 times (with the Magical Sword; it will take more if you have a weaker sword), Gannon will change color & be stunned temporarily. While he is like this, shoot him with a Silver Arrow & Gannon will explode into a pile of mush. Grab the Triforce of Power & go to the next room to find Princess Zelda.
