Returning to running after Covid Part 1

This series will document my return to running after Covid. As a Chartered Physiotherapist I have treated many who have suffered with the effects of Covid including minor symptoms to those in intensive care so I wanted to use my knowledge and those of my colleagues to help me return safely and properly. The risk of developing long covid which could greatly effect my ability to run for a prolonged time is very much on my mind so I intend on doing everything I can to return to running safely. This virus can affect people very differently. For me I tested positive after developing a persistent cough, achey body and general fatigue. This continued and when my cough started to go I was still left with a feeling of being out of breath when getting dressed, going up the stairs and other very low level activities of daily living. To return to running I know I need to be sensible and take it slowly.
