Poet Hassanal Abdullah speaks

Hassanal Abdullah is the author of more than 60 books in various genres including 21 collections of poetry, and the editor of Shabdaguchha, an international bilingual poetry magazine. His Collected Poems (in Bengali) was published by Ananya in two Volumes. Mr. Abdullah received five international poetry awards including Homer European Medal of Poetry and Art (2016) from Belgium, Klement Janesky International Poetry Award (2021) from Poland, and Paul van Heyse Prize (2024) from Germany. His poetry has been translated into eighteen languages and was published in various poetry anthologies throughout the world. As an invited guest he attended international poetry festivals in China, Czech Republic, Guatemala, Morocco, Macedonia, Kenya, Poland, Greece, Mexico, Canada and India.
