Hey, everyone. It's Trevor with etrailer. Today we're gonna do an overview and installation of this Tekonsha T-One Wiring Harness on our 2021 Kia Telluride. Now, why you would want a 4-pole wiring harness is because accessories for your trailer hitch are starting to become more and more complex. So your bike racks and your cargo carriers are starting to get bigger and they're starting to block your tail lights. You're starting to come out with kits that plug into a 4-pole, and you also might see it commonly on your smaller utility trailers and boat trailers. The 4-pole is just simply gonna be four different connections. One's gonna be your ground. The other's gonna be your taillights. You have your left turn, and then your right turn signals on this. Now the installation process on this is pretty simple. You're just gonna pull down one underbody panel. You'll have your factory tow package behind that. Plug it in, route your wire, and you're done. Now if this is something that sounds a little bit more complex to you, you can always use our dealer locator to find a shop near you that'd be able to install this for you. But if I convinced you to go ahead and give this a try, you can go ahead and jump into the installation. To begin our installation, we're gonna start on the driver's side of our vehicle, and we're going to take off a underbody panel right here. And then whenever we do that, we can find our factory tow package against the sheet metal. To remove this underbody panel, we'll have three push pins along the bottom edge, and then we're gonna have two plastic nuts located at the top. And you can just take a flat head or any trim panel tool. Just stick it in there, press down a little bit, and it'll pop out. And if yours is a little bit more stubborn, you can also work around the edges such as this one here. Now to remove these plastic nuts, you can take a 14 millimeter socket, and what you can do is you can put a little bit of side pressure on it by pulling down on this plastic panel and that'll just help to release it. (screw whirs) This is where a factory tow package is gonna be located, and as you can see, it has a dummy plug on it. All you're gonna have to do is press down on this tab, pull out from away from the plug, and then you'll be able to connect your wiring harness to that. Now we're gonna take the plug with the orange end on it and just plug that into our factory tow package. And we're just gonna take a self-tapping screw actually, and just mount it right here. For how we're gonna route the 4-pole wiring, we're gonna go along this edge, up and over this bumper support beam, down, and we'll loop it down here and just hook it around our safety chain loop. And if you have a 4-pole bracket, you can also just attach that along here. And we went ahead and just zip tied some of this extra loom to this wiring harness that's coming outta here. And then as we follow around here, I took and just bundled up that excess, taped it up, zip tied it to this wiring harness here. And we ran it back up and over behind the hitch here. And there was another wiring harness I just zip tied that to, came down and then just put the cap on it through the inside of that safety loop. And that was a look and an installation of the Tekonsha T-One Wiring Harness for our 2021 Kia Telluride.
