The Demon Deacons pushed the lead in the 3rd quarter to as much as 21, but staved off a Cavaliers comeback in the 4th. Jewel Spear was Wake’s leading scorer with 19 points to go with 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Elise Williams followed up with 16 points, 4 steals, 3 assists, and 3 boards of her own. Virginia’s Camryn Taylor scored a team-high 19 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Alexia Smith finished with 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in the loss.
