Wednesday's extended Cleveland weather forecast: Sun will break out later today in Northeast Ohio

Cleveland weather forecast for Wednesday, April 15, 2025. We have one more chilly day to get through as a massive low pressure system continues to funnel in cold, Canadian air to the eastern U.S. Lingering lake effect clouds will give way to sunshine today, but high temps will still be below average as they recover into the mid and upper 40s. The warmest readings will be to the west where the sun is out the longest. It will be a cold night with a freeze expected for most locations. Any of those sensitive plants you purchased at the garden store will need protected overnight as temps dip into the upper 20s and low 30s. We'll begin the recovery tomorrow -- and a quick temp recovery it will be! Highs will surge into the low 60s Thursday with sunshine and will push the upper 70s on Friday with a gusty southwest wind. We're due for our first 80-degree day over the next few weeks. Our average first 80-degree day is on April 26, but the last two years we've had it by now. Attention then turns toward a stormy weekend ahead as a cold front moves in and stalls over Ohio. Rain and storms will likely move in early Saturday and stick around for much of the day. Unfortunately showers may linger into Easter Sunday before another round of rain arrives later in the day. Timing will still be adjusted on these rounds, but keep in mind it does look wet this weekend. A warmer pattern continues through next week! Here is your 3-day Cleveland weather forecast: TODAY: Gradual clearing from west to east. Breezy and cool. 40s east, low 50s west where the sun is out the longest. THURSDAY: Mostly sunny with late day high clouds. Warmer. Low 60s. FRIDAY: Sun and high clouds. Windy and much warmer. Upper 70s. READ MORE: https://www.wkyc.com/article/weather/...
