LIVE – National Yom HaShoah UK Commemoration 2025 Wednesday 23rd April 2025 – 7.00pm BST Victoria Tower Gardens, Westminster Join thousands as the UK Jewish community comes together outside Parliament to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust and the liberation of Bergen-Belsen by British Armed Forces. This will be a once-in-a-generation national event, taking place at the proposed site of the new UK Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre, and streamed live across the UK and worldwide. ⸻ What to Expect During the Livestream: • Live testimony from Holocaust survivor Susan Pollack OBE • An interview with 100-year-old Bergen-Belsen liberator Mervyn Kersh • A national address from a senior UK Government Minister • A mass performance of ‘Never Again’, the Yom HaShoah UK anthem, by 300 children from 16 Jewish primary schools • An 80-flame Yellow Candle procession symbolising generational memory • Reflections from the Chief Rabbi and leading interfaith voices • The historic 1945 BBC recording of survivors singing Hatikvah at Bergen-Belsen ⸻ Why Watch?
