INDIAN RAILWAYS Amazing action of Train Chasing Train Furious ALCo vs twin EMD, Diesel hauled Trains

Date and Time: Feb 22, 2015, 15:40hrs Location: Malleswaram Railway Station, Bangalore ***NOTE*** A small mistake on my part, the no. of Shimoga Intercity is 16201 not 16202. It was a rather hot afternoon, with the onset of Summer, the heat was more than what i had anticipated. After a very short and brief lunch, i entered pf2 to take some rest. It was just then the Tumkur bound afternoon passenger hauled by offlink GTL WDG3A 13068 entered pf1 for a scheduled halt. Just as the train halted, pf1 became alive, bustling with activity, meanwhile the Bangalore bound Siddhaganga Intercity screamed past pf2 led by WDP4B 40016. And after that it was dullness and boredom personified. When a person goes to a station with a specific purpose, such push-backs have to be faced head on, or so I thought. That Natarajan and Nikhil were caught in traffic jam while returning from the Air show, was just fuel to my boredom. The passenger from Nelamangala made a guest appearance at around 5mins past 3, led by KJM WDG3A 13267. After this it was a patient half an hour wait. The clock struck 15:35, both the north bound mainlines, showed double amber, meaning line cleared for two approaching trains from SBC side- the magic of twin single line section as Natarajan would call it. But I was slightly surprised when the Shimoga bound Intercity appeared on the 'A' line (pf1). It was hauled by twin EMDs, it was only when the locos passed me that i realized that both were live. I controlled my excitement and continued recording, just as the last few coaches of the train passed, i could see a blue speck on the B line. I zoomed in to see it was the 56581 Bangalore-Yeshvantpur Passenger, the rake that would continue as the 56242 Yeshvantpur-Salem Passenger. The ALCo was in no mood to relax, and screamed through pf2, hauling the puny 11 coach load, as though it had decided to beat the Intercity to YPR. This was the first and last Parallel action of the day, and after a few more spottings, i headed home, thanking my stars for giving this amazing chase. Enjoy the high speed diesel action folks.
